NFL Apps!

For those of you who enjoy football season (and the fact that the draft just happened) the question remains as to what is the best way to prep for the coming season and the fantasy leagues that you and your buddies are gonna make. For me, it looks like lots of nachos, hot dogs, and good times with my friends and family watching that pigskin being thrown about. So how should YML "tackle" this issue?

First I would tell you to watch football with your phone. As cool as the apps are that I'm gonna show you, make sure that you get to watch games with somebody other than yourself. That's what they're there for.
But secondly, enjoy the incredible amount of stats, points, games and whatever else you would need by  using your mobile device!

A lot of the apps that I looked at all seemed to do mostly the same thing -- for you developers out there, if you can think of a innovative idea to represent the football season, this is the perfect opportunity to distance yourself from the standard rehashing of online websites.

This app is pretty much all of ESPN streamed live to your phone with all the latest highlights, score update, and individual athelete updates. While this app covers over 20 different leagues of all different sports, this app will definitely put you ahead of the games that you can't watch. Additionally, you can follow different teams and their updates including scores, trades, injuries and the like in the same way you would with a Twitter account. This is pretty crucial for those of us who might not be able to watch the game or want up-to-date response time but cannot because of obligations, you'll be able to easily get whatever kind of information you need. ESPN does a very good job in giving you the newest information and clips as soon as they are available. Also, this one is free, which for all of us that are broke is good news.

For those of us that actually get the chance to go to games instead of watching them on the TV, Sports Venue Finder is one app that will really take the stress off you and help you see what's available for seating. Not only will it give you directions to your seat, if it's the first time to the stadium or your just plain running late and don't feel like meandering for half an hour, but it also lets you know what seats are taken before you order them! Tired of getting nosebleeds and having to bring tissues instead of enjoying the game? Try out Sports Venue Finder and get a different experience this time!

Also be on the lookout for the 2012 versions of NFL Fantasy Cheat Sheet 2011 and ESPN Fantasy Football 2011-- the new versions haven't come out yet, but they will soon!

All in all, I hope that everyone gets to enjoy this really great weekend that's starting to actually be sunny. And when football season comes,  you all better be ready for it!
