The Traffic Jam Solution

Waze is a traffic app that saves you time!
Ever wondered why it is called “rush hour” yet it is the slowest time during the day? Well, I can’t answer that, but I can suggest an app that will help anyone save time when it comes to your daily commute.

Waze is a free app for Android and iPhone that upon activation, the software begins relaying information about traffic conditions to the company’s servers. The data is then relayed back to users with recommendations for the fastest routes. Waze’s technology plays an integral part in Apple's new turn-by-turn navigation feature in its soon-to-be released iOS 6 for the iPhone.

Local radio stations may be able to give you up to date traffic reports, but few can suggest multiple alternate routes for drivers. The Waze app is a community-based GPS traffic and navigation app that reports current road conditions and uses recommendations from other drivers to find you a route that saves time and beats traffic.

Waze sends the best routes for you to beat the traffic!
An article by CNN notes that “AAA predicted that the roads will be particularly awful this year thanks to falling gas prices -- they're down 44 cents on average from their April peak.” This summer, highways will see a lot of traffic as families travel to waterparks, the ocean and major metropolitan areas. This app will be very useful for anyone expecting to travel during holidays. Thanksgiving weekend is the number one most popular time for travel. You wouldn’t want to miss out on turkey and stuffing, would you?
Next time you decide to see a 4th of July show or go camping on Memorial Day, download Waze before you hit the road because no one likes sticking to their seat from sweating in hours of car traffic.

What is your favorite travel app?
